Classes in our kitchen are designed to provide an atmosphere of learning and enjoyment. From our classes you’ll learn the skills, techniques, and tips for recreating recipes successfully at home. We offer a broad variety of classes including ethnic flavors, culinary training such as knife skills, creative applications with cookie and cake decorating, and advancing the use of tools and appliances in the kitchen. The class instructors are chefs from popular Rapid City and Black Hills restaurants as well as chefs from outside the region. You’ll love the energy and passion that each of our teachers bring to their cooking classes.

Chef Christopher Roth; This hearty Fall dinner is sure to be a crowd pleaser, whether you’re having a cozy night in or an upscale dinner party. Roasted Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese; Hearty Salad with Bacon and Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette; Roasted Apples with Vanilla Rosemary Ice Cream
Chef Melinda Williams, There are some days when getting to the grocery store for ingredients just doesn’t happen. This class will look at some dishes prepared with staples many of us have in our pantries or freezers. Plan for about 20 points during this class, not including wine. As always, it is a good weight watcher practice to bring containers for any samples you choose to save for later. During this HANDS-ON class, you will make fresh spring rolls with exciting and delicious combinations that you can take home for you or your family to enjoy that night. You will create enough Spring rolls to feed 3-4 people.

Cozy up in the kitchen and learn to make some of Julie's most satisfying soup recipes.

With warmer weather on the way, this class with help you spice up your diet while still eating light. Enjoy three different varieties of street tacos while learning how versatile, easy and fun this mobile food can be.

CAST IRON SKILLET COOKING

The Cast Iron Skillet, from your inherited Grandmother’s Skillet to a brand new Lodge Skillet. We’ll cover it all. How to care for it, which stoves you can use this versatile pan on, and how to cook with it. Joyce Payton has been cooking on her cast iron pans for 40+ years. She uses one everyday,at least once! She loves her cast iron, she can be quoted as saying, “if you can only have one pan, make it a cast iron skillet!” One sample of wine will be offered with this class.
