Welcome to our new Spring and Summer class schedule!

Welcome to the Spring installment of Someone’s In The Kitchen cooking classes! As we begin our 29th year, we’re ready to welcome warmer weather, longer nights, and time well-spent with friends and family. This Spring, we have another great schedule of classes to inspire and motivate you to create memorable meals and celebrations with the people you love.

With a delicious variety of classes, we have you covered for the next couple of months. Look for cast iron skillet cooking, healthy Spring eating, Asian inspiration, and doughnuts made from scratch! As always, our shelves are full of great kitchen tools, gadgets, and cookware to make your culinary adventure complete. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our love of “all things food!” Oh, and share your favorite classes with a friend or two!

French Macarons | Wednesday, March 1 | 6-9pm. $40
Tori Haudenschild
Learn how to master these tricky little cookies that everyone craves! Tori will teach you step by step how to mix, bake, and fill the ever so popular macaron and a delightful ganache filling to go along with it. Each guest will get a chance to learn hands-on how to properly assemble them and different decorating techniques.

WEIGHT WATCHER SERIES: WHO SAYS HEALTHY IS BORING?

Healthy eating can be exciting and full of flavor! Enjoy food that is sure to please everyone in your family! As always, it’s a good healthy eating practice to bring a container for any food you choose not to eat during the class. Plan on 17 points for the class, not including wine. CAKE DECORATING FOR BEGINNERS

This basic cake decorating class will incorporate beginner icing techniques and fondant molding. Each participant will receive a 6” round pre-iced cake to decorate, as well as an individual cupcake. You’ll be creating elements from nature to decorate your cake with. You’ll have the chance to discuss icing techniques and enjoy a piece of freshly baked wedding cake. GOURMET CHICKEN BASICS

Chef Chris will instruct the class on how to properly season a chicken and roast it two ways (whole and butterflied). Then, demonstrate how to carve, and use every bit of meat on the bird to make a meal, plus how to make restaurant-quality stock with the bones. How to care for it, which stoves you can use this versatile pan on, and how to cook with it. Joyce Payton has been cooking on her cast iron pans for 40+ years. She uses one everyday,at least once! She loves her cast iron, she can be quoted as saying, “if you can only have one pan, make it a cast iron skillet!” One sample of wine will be offered with this class. HEART HEALTHY: VEGETARIAN

This series will help you incorporate tasty, delicious foods into your life that contribute to your heart health. The menu incorporates vegetarian foods that are satisfying and filling.
